- canned tuna - 1 can (about 150g)
- mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons (30g)
- sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon (15g)
- green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- cheddar cheese - 100g, shredded
- whole grain bread - 4 slices
- butter - 2 tablespoons (30g)
- salt - to taste
- black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Drain the canned tuna and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper to the tuna. Mix well until combined.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Spoon the spicy tuna mixture evenly onto the unbuttered side of the bread in the skillet.
- Top the tuna mixture with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted.
