Ingredients

  • canned tuna - 1 can (about 150g)
  • mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons (30g)
  • sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon (15g)
  • green onions - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • cheddar cheese - 100g, shredded
  • whole grain bread - 4 slices
  • butter - 2 tablespoons (30g)
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Drain the canned tuna and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper to the tuna. Mix well until combined.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  5. Spoon the spicy tuna mixture evenly onto the unbuttered side of the bread in the skillet.
  6. Top the tuna mixture with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
  8. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted.
  9. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
