  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1 clove (minced)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (adjust for spice preference)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons (more if needed)
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, ripe avocado, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, cayenne pepper, salt, and ground cumin.
  2. Blend the mixture until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt or cayenne pepper if necessary.
