- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon (2g)
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon (2g)
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon (1g)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (3g)
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (0.5g)
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (8g)
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Wash and peel the carrots, then cut them into sticks about 1 cm thick.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the carrot sticks to the bowl and toss well to coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
- Spread the spiced carrot sticks in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized, turning them halfway through.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley over the baked carrot sticks before serving.
