Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples - sliced
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil - melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts - optional
  • 1 tablespoon raisins - optional

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the apples into thin wedges, removing any seeds and core.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted coconut oil, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, honey or maple syrup, and salt.
  4. Add the apple slices to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
  5. Spread the spiced apple slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  6. If desired, sprinkle chopped walnuts and raisins over the apple slices.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the apples are tender and slightly caramelized.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
