- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Ketchup - 100 grams
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare the barbecue sauce by combining apple cider vinegar, honey, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard in a small saucepan.
- Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the chicken with the barbecue sauce.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
