- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (8 g)
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced (120 g)
- Red onion - 1 medium, sliced (100 g)
- Whole wheat buns - 2 pieces
Steps
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and sea salt to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken sausage links to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- While the sausages marinate, slice the bell pepper and red onion.
- Place the marinated sausages on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have grill marks.
- In the last 5 minutes of grilling, add the sliced bell pepper and red onion to the grill, cooking until they are tender and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, remove sausages and vegetables from the grill, and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the smoked sausage links in whole wheat buns topped with grilled bell peppers, onions, and chopped parsley.
