  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon (5 g)
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon (5 g)
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
  • Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (8 g)
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced (120 g)
  • Red onion - 1 medium, sliced (100 g)
  • Whole wheat buns - 2 pieces

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and sea salt to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken sausage links to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. While the sausages marinate, slice the bell pepper and red onion.
  5. Place the marinated sausages on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have grill marks.
  6. In the last 5 minutes of grilling, add the sliced bell pepper and red onion to the grill, cooking until they are tender and slightly charred.
  7. Once cooked, remove sausages and vegetables from the grill, and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Serve the smoked sausage links in whole wheat buns topped with grilled bell peppers, onions, and chopped parsley.
