Ingredients

  • Chicken wings - 500 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Smoked paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, honey, and apple cider vinegar to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the bowl, ensuring they are thoroughly coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your smoker to 110°C (225°F) using wood chips of your choice (hickory or applewood works well).
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the wings on the smoker rack, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  5. Smoke the wings for about 1.5 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and have a nice smoky color.
  6. Once done, remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
