Ingredients
- Chicken wings - 500 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Smoked paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, honey, and apple cider vinegar to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl, ensuring they are thoroughly coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your smoker to 110°C (225°F) using wood chips of your choice (hickory or applewood works well).
- Remove the wings from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the wings on the smoker rack, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- Smoke the wings for about 1.5 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and have a nice smoky color.
- Once done, remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
