  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  4. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to fit a 9-inch (23 cm) square baking pan.
  5. Transfer the rolled dough to the baking pan, pressing it into the corners and up the sides.
  6. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped fresh basil over the sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve.
