- Red bell pepper, diced - 1

- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Saffron threads - 1/4 teaspoon
- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 200 grams
- Mussels, cleaned - 200 grams
- Calamari rings - 100 grams
- Frozen peas - 1/2 cup
- Lemon wedges - 2 for serving
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped - for garnish
Steps
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the diced red bell pepper and tomato, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
- Add the basmati rice, paprika, saffron, salt, and black pepper, stirring to coat the rice with the oil and spices.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add the shrimp, mussels, and calamari. Gently mix in the frozen peas.
- Cover again and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the seafood is cooked through and the mussels have opened.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
