Ingredients

  • Fettuccine pasta - 200 grams
  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 150 grams
  • Scallops - 100 grams
  • Mussels, cleaned - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Shallot, finely chopped - 1 medium
  • Heavy cream - 150 ml
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Red pepper flakes - a pinch (optional)

Steps

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot, and sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp and scallops to the skillet and cook until the shrimp are pink and the scallops are opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the mussels and cover the skillet to steam for another 3-4 minutes or until the mussels open.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the creamy seafood sauce.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.
