Ingredients
- Fresh scallops - 300 grams
- Unsalted butter - 50 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Season the scallops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Add the scallops to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd them. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and opaque in the center. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium, add the butter and let it melt.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley, mixing well.
- Return the scallops to the skillet, gently coating them with the garlic butter sauce.
- Serve immediately, drizzling any remaining garlic butter over the scallops.
