Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese - 50 grams
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons
  • Nutmeg - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
  5. Add the sautéed spinach and half of the mozzarella cheese to the ricotta mixture. Stir until well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish and smooth the top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs evenly over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
