- Fresh spinach - 200 grams
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Shredded mozzarella cheese - 50 grams
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
- Add the sautéed spinach and half of the mozzarella cheese to the ricotta mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
