  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chives, chopped - for garnish (optional)
  • Pumpkin seeds - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground cumin, ground ginger, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another minute to toast the spices.
