  • Potatoes - 400 grams

  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, grated
  • Sour cream - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Toss well to coat the potatoes evenly.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the seasoned potatoes evenly on the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle half of the sliced onions and half of the grated cheddar cheese over the first layer of potatoes.
  6. Add the remaining potatoes on top, followed by the rest of the onions and cheddar cheese.
  7. Dollop the sour cream over the top layer of cheese, then sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
