Ingredients

  • Puff pastry - 250 grams (1 sheet)
  • Fresh spinach - 100 grams
  • Feta cheese - 75 grams, crumbled
  • Sun-dried tomatoes - 50 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, around 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the wilted spinach, crumbled feta, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases.
  6. Spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  7. Starting from one edge, roll the pastry tightly to the center, then roll from the opposite edge to meet in the middle, forming a log.
  8. Slice the log into 1 cm thick pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
