Ingredients
- Puff pastry - 250 grams (1 sheet)
- Fresh spinach - 100 grams
- Feta cheese - 75 grams, crumbled
- Sun-dried tomatoes - 50 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, around 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the wilted spinach, crumbled feta, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases.
- Spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- Starting from one edge, roll the pastry tightly to the center, then roll from the opposite edge to meet in the middle, forming a log.
- Slice the log into 1 cm thick pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
