- Canned chickpeas - 1/2 cup, rinsed and drained
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, diced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red pepper flakes - optional, to taste
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add 1 cup of rolled oats and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are tender.
- While the oats are cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
