  • baking powder - 10 grams
  • salt - 5 grams
  • unsalted butter - 60 grams, chilled and cubed
  • sharp cheddar cheese - 100 grams, grated
  • fresh chives - 15 grams, chopped
  • garlic powder - 2 grams
  • milk - 120 milliliters

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the chilled, cubed butter to the flour mixture and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the grated cheddar cheese, chopped chives, and garlic powder until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
