Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Active dry yeast - 7 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Sugar - 10 grams
  • Salt - 5 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, olive oil, and egg.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. After rising, punch down the dough and knead in the grated Parmesan, chopped rosemary, and garlic powder until evenly distributed.
  6. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each piece into a round roll. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  9. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool slightly before serving.
