- Beef broth - 200 ml
- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Cheddar cheese (shredded) - 50 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, melt 30 grams of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until mushrooms have released their moisture.
- Pour in the beef broth, letting it simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, remaining butter (30 grams, softened), and the egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a small pie dish, making sure it's evenly distributed.
- Spoon the beef and mushroom mixture into the crust, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
