  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Cheddar cheese (shredded) - 50 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, melt 30 grams of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until mushrooms have released their moisture.
  5. Pour in the beef broth, letting it simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, remaining butter (30 grams, softened), and the egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  7. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a small pie dish, making sure it's evenly distributed.
  8. Spoon the beef and mushroom mixture into the crust, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
