Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Mushrooms, sliced - 150 grams
  • Cream cheese - 100 grams
  • Beef broth - 200 ml
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Onion, chopped - 1 small
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded - 50 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until the mushrooms have released their moisture.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese, stirring until melted and well combined.
  6. Pour in the beef broth, mixing thoroughly to create a creamy sauce. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
