- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon

- Black Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red Pepper Flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Rinse the Swiss chard leaves under cold water to remove any dirt or grit, then drain well and pat dry.
- Remove the tough stems from the Swiss chard and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Also, chop the stems into small pieces.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Add the chopped Swiss chard stems to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the Swiss chard leaves to the skillet along with the salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine.
- Cook the Swiss chard for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the leaves are wilted and tender.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
