Ingredients

  • Italian sausage (mild or spicy) - 200 grams
  • Kale, chopped - 150 grams
  • Chicken broth - 500 ml
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Onion, diced - 1 small
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - for garnish (optional)

Steps

  1. In a medium pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Remove the casing from the Italian sausage and crumble it into the pot. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally, about 5-6 minutes.
