  • Chicken breasts - 2 pieces (about 300g total)
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salsa verde - 1 cup (about 240ml)
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cumin.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken breasts.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour salsa verde over the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  6. Once cooked, remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
