Ingredients

  • salmon fillet - 300 grams
  • panko breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
  • egg - 1 large
  • green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • dijon mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
  • hamburger buns - 2
  • lettuce leaves - 2
  • tomato - 1, sliced
  • avocado - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, finely chop the salmon fillet and combine it with panko breadcrumbs, egg, green onion, minced garlic, lemon juice, dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into two burger patties.
  4. Once the skillet is hot, add the salmon patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns in a separate skillet or toaster until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a salmon patty, slices of tomato, and avocado. Top with the other half of the bun.
