Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Breadcrumbs - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mushrooms - 200 grams, sliced
  • Beef broth - 250 ml
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 oval patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir into the mushroom gravy and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  7. Return the patties to the skillet, spooning the gravy over them. Cook for another minute to heat through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
