Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Breadcrumbs - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Mushrooms - 200 grams, sliced
- Beef broth - 250 ml
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 oval patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender.
- Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir into the mushroom gravy and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the gravy thickens.
- Return the patties to the skillet, spooning the gravy over them. Cook for another minute to heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
