- Butter - 10 g
- Chopped pistachios - 10 g (for garnish)
Steps
- In a small bowl, soak the saffron threads in 2 tablespoons of warm milk for about 10 minutes to release their flavor and color.
- In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk, sugar, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and continue to whisk until the mixture begins to thicken, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, lower the heat and stir in the soaked saffron mixture, vanilla extract, and butter. Mix well until the butter is melted and everything is combined.
