  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them in half if they're large.
  3. Peel the garlic cloves and smash them lightly with the flat side of a knife.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the mushrooms, smashed garlic, olive oil, fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the mushrooms are well coated.
  5. Spread the mushroom mixture evenly on a baking sheet, ensuring the mushrooms are in a single layer.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm as a delicious side dish.
