Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease two small round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, granulated sugar, buttermilk, egg, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar until well combined.
