Ingredients

  • Fresh raspberries - 250 grams
  • Granulated sugar - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 120 milliliters
  • Pinch of salt - 1/8 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved, then remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the fresh raspberries, lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the seeds, using a spatula to press the mixture through.
  4. Pour the strained raspberry mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals until it reaches a smooth, sorbet-like consistency.
  5. Once the sorbet is fully frozen and fluffy, scoop it into bowls and serve immediately.
