- Quail breasts - 250 grams
- Almond flour - 1/4 cup
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Avocado - 1 medium
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the quail breasts, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two patties and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the quail patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the avocado spread by mashing the avocado in a bowl and mixing in lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each quail patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf, topping with slices of tomato and red onion, and finishing with a generous dollop of avocado spread.
