Ingredients

  • Quail breasts - 250 grams
  • Almond flour - 1/4 cup
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Avocado - 1 medium
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the quail breasts, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the quail patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the avocado spread by mashing the avocado in a bowl and mixing in lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each quail patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf, topping with slices of tomato and red onion, and finishing with a generous dollop of avocado spread.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Paleo quail burgers!
