Ingredients

  • Beef chuck roast - 500 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Beef broth - 240 ml
  • BBQ sauce - 120 ml (kosher certified)
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Slider buns - 4 pieces
  • Coleslaw (prepared) - 1 cup

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a large oven-safe pot, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Sear the beef chuck roast on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside. In the same pot, add the sliced onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Return the beef to the pot. Pour in the beef broth, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sprinkle the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, and salt over the top.
  5. Cover the pot with a lid and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender.
  6. Once cooked, remove the pot from the oven and let the beef cool slightly. Shred the beef using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the pot.
  7. To assemble the sliders, place a generous portion of pulled beef on the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw and place the top half of the bun on.
  8. Serve the sliders warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
