- Prawns (peeled and deveined) - 200 grams
- Lettuce leaves - 2 cups, shredded
- Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons
- Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon (ensure Halal)
- Hot sauce (optional) - a few dashes
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon for garnish
- Lemon wedges - for serving
Steps
- In a pot of boiling salted water, add the prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and immediately place them in ice water to stop the cooking process.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Stir until smooth.
- Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Once the prawns are chilled, drain them well and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a serving bowl, layer the shredded lettuce on the bottom. Top with the prawns and drizzle the cocktail sauce over them.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
