Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes - 2 medium (about 400g)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (5g)
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional) - 2 tablespoons (15g)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Wash and scrub the russet potatoes thoroughly. Leave the skins on for extra texture and nutrients.
  3. Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 3-4 wedges, depending on your preferred thickness.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  6. Spread the seasoned wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking for added flavor.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
