Ingredients
- Pork skin - 250 grams
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying (enough to cover the pork skins)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 120°C (250°F).
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pork skin and simmer for about 30 minutes until tender.
- Remove the pork skin from the pot, pat dry with paper towels, and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut the pork skin into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the pork skin pieces in batches for 3-5 minutes or until they puff up and become golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- While still hot, season the pork rinds with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Allow the seasoned rinds to cool completely before serving.
