Ingredients
- Pork chops - 2 (about 200g each)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon (chopped, for garnish)
Steps
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 63°C).
- While the pork chops are cooking, in a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined.
- When the pork chops are nearly done, pour the honey mustard mixture over the chops in the skillet, coating them evenly.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring the pork chops are well-glazed.
- Remove the skillet from heat and let the chops rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with your choice of sautéed greens.
