Ingredients
- Pork chops - 2 (about 200g each)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves - 4, minced
- Chicken broth - 1/2 cup (120ml)
- Heavy cream - 1/4 cup (60ml)
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate, covering them with foil to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them, and cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
