Ingredients

  • Pork chops - 2 (about 200g each)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic cloves - 4, minced
  • Chicken broth - 1/2 cup (120ml)
  • Heavy cream - 1/4 cup (60ml)
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).
  4. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate, covering them with foil to keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them, and cook for an additional minute to heat through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
