Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 500 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Wooden skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the pork belly into 2.5 cm cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, sea salt, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the pork belly cubes, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor).
  4. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated pork belly cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, packing them tightly but leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until the pork belly is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
