- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Cheddar cheese - 2 slices
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Pickles - 4 slices
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- BBQ sauce - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Score the skin of the pork belly in a crosshatch pattern and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place the pork belly on a baking tray and roast for about 30-35 minutes until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.
- While the pork belly is roasting, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on a skillet or in the oven.
- Once the pork belly is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thick strips.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a slice of pork belly, a slice of cheddar cheese, tomato slices, and pickles.
- Spread mayonnaise and BBQ sauce on the top half of the bun and place it on top to complete the burger.
