- Apple - 1 medium, cored and chopped
- Caraway seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the pork shoulder with salt and black pepper, then brown it in the skillet on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped apple and caraway seeds, cooking for another 2 minutes.
- Add the drained sauerkraut and water to the skillet, stirring to combine all ingredients.
- Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low, cooking for about 60 minutes until the pork is tender.
