- Poppy seeds - 2 tablespoons

- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the noodles are cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the poppy seeds to the skillet and toast them for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water.
