Ingredients

  • Pheasant breast - 300 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Avocado - 1 small, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pheasant breast, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, coconut flour, and egg. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, making sure they are evenly shaped.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing the romaine leaves and laying them on a plate.
  5. Once cooked, place each pheasant patty on a lettuce leaf and top with slices of tomato, avocado, and red onion.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Paleo Pheasant Burger!
