Ingredients

  • Flatbread - 2 pieces (approximately 20 cm each)
  • Basil pesto - 4 tablespoons
  • Fresh tomatoes - 2 medium, thinly sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread 2 tablespoons of basil pesto evenly on each flatbread.
  4. Evenly distribute the sliced tomatoes over the pesto on each flatbread.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the tomatoes.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over the flatbreads and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before garnishing with fresh basil leaves.
