Ingredients

  • rye bread - 4 slices
  • pastrami - 200 grams, sliced
  • yellow mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • dill pickles - 2 whole, sliced
  • Swiss cheese - 2 slices
  • olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of olive oil on the outer sides of each slice of rye bread.
  3. On the inside of two slices, spread 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard each.
  4. Layer 100 grams of sliced pastrami on each of the mustard-spread slices.
  5. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the pastrami on each sandwich.
  6. Top each sandwich with another slice of rye bread, mustard side down.
  7. Place the sandwiches in the preheated skillet and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, cut in half, and serve with sliced dill pickles on the side.
