  • Cherry tomatoes (halved) - 200 grams
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Capers (drained) - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Red pepper flakes - a pinch (optional)

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.
  5. Stir in the drained tuna and capers, cooking for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and reserve a small cup of pasta water.
  7. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
  8. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Remove from heat.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
