- Spaghetti - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sriracha sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- In a small bowl, mix together Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and honey to create a sauce.
- Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic, then pour the Sriracha sauce over the pasta.
- Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
