Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Sriracha sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and honey to create a sauce.
  5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic, then pour the Sriracha sauce over the pasta.
  7. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and stir in chopped parsley.
  9. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
