- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh basil (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

- Drain the pasta, reserving a little pasta water, and add it to the skillet with the shrimp and herbs. If the mixture seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen.
- Toss the pasta with the shrimp and herbs until well coated. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
