Ingredients

  • Pasta (Fusilli or Penne) - 200 grams
  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 50 grams
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Allow the cream to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
