Ingredients

  • Pasta (fusilli or penne) - 200 grams
  • Salmon fillet - 150 grams
  • Frozen peas - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped (optional)

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
  4. Add the frozen peas to the skillet and stir for another 2 minutes until warmed through.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If using, stir in chopped fresh dill.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with extra dill if desired.
