Ingredients
- Pasta (fusilli or penne) - 200 grams
- Salmon fillet - 150 grams
- Frozen peas - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped (optional)
Steps
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Add the frozen peas to the skillet and stir for another 2 minutes until warmed through.
- Pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If using, stir in chopped fresh dill.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra dill if desired.
