- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Shallot - 1 small, finely chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - 30g, grated (optional)
Steps
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the salmon fillet to the skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and flake into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper, cooking for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked pasta and flaked salmon to the skillet. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired sauce consistency.
- Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
