Ingredients
- Pasta (spaghetti or linguine) - 200 grams
- Fresh salmon fillet - 200 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Capers (rinsed and drained) - 2 tablespoons
- Heavy cream - 100 milliliters
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces and add it to the skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Stir in the capers and heavy cream, allowing the mixture to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste, mixing well.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the salmon mixture.
- Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired sauce consistency.
- Finish with fresh parsley, mixing thoroughly before serving.
